Workstream 2: Fair employment

Why is this important?

There is a two-way relationship between work and health. Being in good employment can improve ones health, conversely unemployment can lead to poor health. Therefore, it’s crucial that we are foster opportunities for people to gain good quality employment where they can develop and grow. This is key to reducing inequalities. 

What has been achieved so far?

Links are being forged with the Oxfordshire Inclusive Economy partnership to consider social value, access to education and employment. Work has also started to consider how we can engage with local businesses, institutions and industry to adopt a Marmot place approach.
