Coronavirus review

The government has now removed all legal restrictions on marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. The number of people permitted to attend ceremonies will be determined by health and safety and fire risk assessments. For ceremonies taking place in registration offices, attendees are required to wear a face-covering. The couple and the registrar conducting the ceremony may remove their face coverings once the ceremony has started.

Didcot ceremony room image

The Broadway Room is in the library building in Didcot.

It is a purpose-built, modern ceremony room. It has been refurbished in a rich aubergine and cream, creating a very serene and tranquil atmosphere.

The maximum number of people permitted to attend a ceremony in the Didcot ceremony room is 45 (26 seated). This number does not include the couple, but does include others such as babies, small children, photographers or musicians. Although this is the maximum number permitted to attend a ceremony, people arranging ceremonies are encouraged to respect other attendees and those working who may have a more cautious approach to the lifting of restrictions, and may wish to consider inviting smaller numbers of attendees.
