Public health and wellbeing

Oxfordshire Public Health is a team of professionals whose role is to improve and protect the health of local residents and promote a healthier Oxfordshire.

Our three main activities are to:

  • improve health by providing health improvement services
  • protect the population from preventable health issues, including those caused by communicable diseases, environmental hazards and by ensuring effective healthcare provision
  • support local healthcare services to provide cost effective, efficient and accessible healthcare that meets the population’s needs.

You can find out more about the Public Health team here.
