Marriage or civil partnership in a registration office

There are ceremony rooms in registration offices across the county.

Our ceremony rooms

There are several ceremony rooms across the county, varying in style, size and appearance, from the more traditional rooms, such as Oxford's wood-panelled Dexter Room and Banbury's Bodicote House to the purpose-built modern Broadway Room in Didcot:

There are also three offices available in Oxford Register Office for a small ceremony with just two witnesses.

How to book a ceremony room

Availability and prices of these ceremony rooms vary, so to arrange a wedding or civil partnership in any of these rooms, call 0345 241 2489, who will be able to advise.

We will also be pleased to answer questions on arranging a ceremony, or give you further information on the rooms, their capacity for guests and to discuss any special requirements you or your guests may have, such as provision for people with disabilities.

Please note: it is essential that you agree a date and time with the helpdesk before making any other arrangements.

What to do next

After booking your ceremony at a registration office, both of you will need to give your Notices of Marriage or civil partnership.
