Acute financial hardship

Students are eligible for the discount if they receive the full rate maintenance loan or maximum rate final year maintenance loan.

A 100 percent discount from ZEZ charges is available for students between 1 Sept and 31 August undertaking a higher education course at an eligible higher education institution.

The discount is available:

to students in acute financial hardship with a term-time address in the ZEZ pilot area
on up to six days per academic year
for vehicles being used to deliver or collect the personal belongings of an eligible student
