Clifton Hampden bypass
The Clifton Hampden bypass will provide a new single carriageway road, with segregated but shared walking and cycling facilities, between the A415 at Culham Science Centre and the B4015 Oxford Road, to the north of Clifton Hampden.
About the project
The link road will provide a western bypass to Clifton Hampden village and will be approximately 2.2km in length. The new road will provide a single carriageway with two-way pedestrian/ cycle facilities, separated from the carriageway.
A roundabout at the western end of the road will provide access to the Culham Science Centre (CSC), Culham Site No.1, and Culham railway station. A new junction with the existing A415 will be provided to the east of the new roundabout. At the north eastern end of the road, a new junction will be provided with the northern end of Clifton Hampden Village.

Why we are investing here
The bypass will re-route traffic on the A415 around the village of Clifton Hampden which currently experiences a large amount of through traffic and congestion as people travel between the A415 to A4074.
