Create a permit account before you apply for parking or congestion charge permits.
Your permit account
The permit account is used for parking and congestion charge permits only. It does not give access to other council services, such as pensions, Blue Badge applications, school applications, or library accounts.
If you already have a permit account, you can log in to apply for a permit.
Step-by-step: how to create a permit account
1. Find the sign up link
Go to the permit account sign in page.
Click 'Don't have an account? Sign up now.'
2. Verify your email address
- enter your email address
- click Send verification code
- check your email inbox or spam folder for the code
- enter the code in the 'Verification code' and click 'Verify Code'
Once your email is verified, you can continue.
3. Create your password and enter your name
- create a password and enter it twice
- enter your first and last name
- click Create
You will need to add some more information to your account before you can continue with your application.
- postcode
- car registration (or select 'no vehicle' if you are applying for visitor permits only)
- Blue Badge number if you have one
Click Save. Your account is created. You can now select a permit and apply.
