Waiting lists for secondary schools

If your child has been refused a place at a preferred school, you can add their name to the school's waiting list. Learn more about waiting lists.

The deadline for receipt of waiting list forms is 17 March 2025.

Lists for most schools will be maintained until 30 June 2026. If a place becomes available for your child, we'll write to you.

We recommend that you accept the offered school to ensure a place for your child in September.

Applied online

You can go to your application on the public portal and select ‘join waiting list’.

To remove your child’s name from a waiting list, contact us with the details.

Forgotten your password?

You can reset your password for the online application portal on the forgotten password page.

Applied by paper form

You can email schoolofferresponse@oxfordshire.gov.uk and ask for your child’s name to be added to the waiting list. Please remember to provide your child’s name, date of birth, and the names of the relevant schools.
