At a time when schools are especially concerned with the well-being and emotional needs of their pupils, music can be a powerful tool for supporting individuals and rebuilding strong school communities.
A choice of session sizes
Each booking runs for a minimum of half a term, except the Flexible option, which runs for the full year. Each school will receive an exit review on completion for intervention evidence.
1:1
Tailored to each individual, pupils do not have to focus on learning a specific instrument and can have a great deal of choice over the content of each session. Great for developing confidence and self-esteem as well as peer-to-adult communication. Each session is 40 minutes long and runs for a minimum of half a term.
Group
Sessions using a variety of instruments for groups of two to four pupils. Great for developing self-esteem, improving peer-to-peer communication and working on social skills. Each session is 40 minutes long and runs for a minimum of half a term.
Flexible
Running for the whole school year, this option allows you to use the time more flexibly to suit your pupils’ needs. The sessions can be rotated to different pupils or groups each half term, allowing you to offer Music for Wellbeing to multiple pupils across the year.
The 40 minutes can also be split into two shorter sessions each week – perfect for younger pupils and pupils with additional needs who would struggle to access the full 40 minutes.
