Rock and pop workshops
Explore the many aspects of rock and pop music with our two-day workshops
An exciting and creative two-day songwriting and band skills workshop for children aged 8-18.
Sessions include:
- song-writing
- band rehearsals
- live sound
- sound checking
The workshops are led by professional players and teachers.
You do not have to be a member of an existing band to attend this workshop, however we also welcome established bands.

Both days, 9:30am - 3:30pm

What to bring
Everyone will need:
- pencil
- a little money for refreshments (including tuck shop)
- packed lunch
All attendees are responsible for the electrical safety of their own equipment - please bring a circuit breaker to plug into.
Drummers: You must bring your kit, sticks, brushes and a mat or piece of carpet to set up on (if you have one).
Keyboard players: Your keyboard, power supply, and amplifier (if possible).
Bassists and guitarists: Your guitar, guitar strap, amplifier, power cable, guitar cable (plus a spare if you have one), plectrums and an electronic tuner (if you have one).
Singers: Your voice and a pad or notebook to write lyrics in.
