Advice and support for community-led plans
How communities can work together to develop a plan or project.
Where to start
If you would like to develop a community plan or project, you will need some advice on how best to do this and how to find like-minded local volunteers. Oxfordshire County Council works closely with and provides funding for a number of organisations that can offer free advice and support.
You can start by contacting some of the following:
- Community First Oxfordshire for best practice advice on community-led plans and projects, including neighbourhood plans
- Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action for the Oxfordshire Volunteer Centre and general funding advice
- Oxford City Council for communities and neighbourhoods in Oxford
- Local county councillors: parish or town councillors and district councillors

Basic information about your community
The Oxfordshire Data Hub can help you find out interesting basic statistical information about your community, such as statistics on transport, crime, employment and housing.
This can help get you started on a community plan and decide what else to find out yourselves. It will also help you in making sure everyone in your community will be involved, by giving you a clear idea of its overall make-up
