Central permit area only
This permit is only for the central permit area, a small area of Oxford city centre that cannot be accessed without passing a congestion charge location.

What you need to know
This permit gives residents of the central permit area 50 free visitor day passes a year.
- you must add your visitor's car to your permit
- you must activate the pass on the day your visitor will need it
- your visitor can travel through the congestion charging locations free of charge for one day (until 23:59)
You do not need a car to apply for the visitor permit.
How long your permit lasts
Your permit will be valid for 12 months.
You cannot use your permit until we confirm that we have approved your application. Your permit will not be available to use until the scheme begins.
Who can get a central area resident visitor permit
To qualify, you must:
- live in the central permit area
- be aged 17 or older
What you need to get a central area resident visitor permit
You must provide the following evidence to support your application:
- proof of your age
- proof of address in the central permit area

- utility bill, financial statement, payslip or official organisation letter (such as NHS, HMRC, Benefits Agency, local council), dated within the last three months
- Council Tax document for the current tax year addressed to you at your Oxfordshire property
- pages of a signed tenancy agreement that display names, property addresses, term dates and signatures
- a letter from solicitors confirming your name, property address and date of moving
