Household Support Fund privacy notice
How and why information about you will be used in relation to the application form.
This privacy notice explains how and why Oxfordshire County Council will use information about you only for the purpose of distributing the Household Support Fund.
How we use information about you
We are asking to collect information about you so that we can verify your identity, check you are eligible for the Household Support Fund, and make a payment to you from the Household Support Fund. When you fill in this form, you consent to us collecting this information.
The information collected about you for the purposes of administering the Household Support Fund will only be used for that purpose.
The information we are collecting
The council needs the following information to make you a payment from the Household Support Fund:
- name and surname
- unique reference number
- national insurance number
- bank account details: name of the account holder, account number and sort code
- telephone number
- email address
- postal address where no email address is available.
Lawful basis
Our lawful basis for collecting the information about you is consent: we only collect your bank details to make payment to you if you agree to it.
If you do not agree – that is, you do not consent – then you do not pass your bank details to us, and no payment is made.
Managing your information
Because there is financial information, we are required to keep some information – such as bank details – for seven years after the last payment.
However, this information is only being used for the purposes of administering the Household Support Fund.
If Oxfordshire County Council has any other contact with you, then the general privacy notice applies. The Privacy Notice describes how information is collected, used, stored, and shared for council services.
