Kate Venables’ father, Harry Walker, was a young doctor in a mobile surgical unit working close behind the fighting front. He was witness to these great events and his letters illuminate the bald facts of the campaign. 

Kate will be talking about her father: his experiences and the background to her publication of his letters. There will also be a chance to ask questions and purchase copies of the book.
