Slow Art Day
Join us as we celebrate Slow Art Day for the first time.
What is Slow Art Day?
Slow Art Day is a global event designed to encourage people to slow down and spend more time observing artworks, rather than rushing through galleries. The initiative highlights the value of intentional observation, allowing participants to notice details, emotions, and personal insights that are often missed in a quick glance. By focusing on fewer pieces for longer periods, individuals can foster mindfulness, reflection, and a deeper connection with both the art and their own thoughts and feelings.
What will we be doing?
Based in the Countryside Gallery our 2026 Slow Art Day will focus on our Lucy Casson sculptures amongst other artworks within the Museum. There will be time for discussion and some craft as well to keep the whole family engaged.
How much is it?
This is a free event, so come along, pause and take time to enjoy art with us.
