Catalogues at the Oxfordshire History Centre

Many holdings can be searched online - but some older catalogues exist only as card indexes.

Many of our Archive and Local Studies holdings can be searched by keyword through Heritage Search, the online catalogue for heritage holdings of Oxfordshire County Council. Check our guide on how to use Heritage Search (pdf format, 64Kb)

Our Photographic and Oral History collections can be searched by keyword or collection name through Picture Oxon, our online store of 300,000 image catalogue records, 5,000 sound recording catalogue records, and 100,000 digital images.

Many earlier catalogues are available only as card indexes. To consult these, you will have to visit Oxfordshire History Centre.

Catalogues not yet online

The earlier catalogues of the History Centre were created on index cards and can only be consulted at the centre.
