Oxfordshire SEND local offer

You said, we did

We continually develop our local offer and need your input through feedback from all stakeholders

Our local offer is continually being developed, and your input is needed. We collect feedback from parents, carers, young people, schools, partners, service providers and practitioners.

We are keen to hear from users of the local offer. Please submit any comments, compliments, and recommendations via this form or at localoffer@oxfordshire.gov.uk

The SEND Code of Practice states:
“Local authorities must publish comments about their Local Offer received from or on behalf of children with SEN or disabilities and their parents and young people with SEN or disabilities.”

This page details feedback we received on the local offer since 2024 and how we have responded to the feedback.

Our Local Offer pages were hard to navigate We reorganised our website to designate sections for Parents and Carers, Children and Young People and Professionals.
The layout and format is not accessible We redesigned our website with more straightforward navigation with input from users including Parents and Carers, Children and Young People and other stakeholders.
Information on the website is not up to date

We introduced a review system and coordinator to ensure the site's information is timely and current.

We have removed out-of-date web pages and appointed a Local offer Coordinator to keep this up-to-date and under review.

The EHCNA and EHCP Review processes aren't clear or easy to understand We are exploring how to provide families with these at the beginning of their EHCNA journey and made available our flowchart for the timeline of the EHCNA process.
Increase information on health and social care services and how to access them We added more health and social services information with links to access it.
More information on the Local Offer for young people

We introduced the Youth Hub, which contains information on Education, Employment, Health and Wellbeing, Fun and Social and Moving into adulthood.

We also work closely with Young people to keep this up to date.
