Quickways
Purpose-built cycleways connecting cycle routes within Oxford.

Quickways use some of the bigger and more direct roads and are good for helping people get around the city by bike more easily. This is particularly useful for commuting, studying, and making other trips around the city.
The aim is to provide a continuous route for cyclists with fewer diversions or breaks and, where possible, a more consistent riding pace. The quick ways are marked with on-street signs and on-road cycle symbols. They are supported by advanced stop lines at junctions and crossings, and physical segregation from motor vehicles where possible.
Most of the formal Oxford city quickways have been created in the east of the city. These routes support a large number of people cycling to work and education, and help make some of the busier and narrower roads better for cycling.
