Libraries Summer Reading Challenge
Find out more about The Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge
Each year, children can join the Summer Reading Challenge in Oxfordshire Libraries. This fun, free challenge is produced by The Reading Agency and is the perfect summer activity to build your child’s reading skills and confidence during the holidays.
How to take part in Oxfordshire Libraries
Children will need to be members of Oxfordshire Libraries.
Join Oxfordshire Libraries, it’s free!
Once the challenge has started, children can sign up at their nearest Oxfordshire Library. As they read library books, they visit us to tell us about them and collect stickers along the way. When children complete the challenge, they receive a Summer Reading Challenge certificate and medal.
Your children can set their own reading goal – we recommend 6 books over 3 library visits. They can read any library books they like, including eBooks and eAudio from Oxfordshire Libraries. We always have great book displays for fantastic reading ideas.
Mini Challenge
Under 4s can sign up to a mini challenge during the summer with their own special collector’s folder and stickers.
