Schools closed due to coronavirus
Following instruction from central Government schools in Oxfordshire are now only open for children of key workers and vulnerable children until further notice.
For these groups of children; in the first instance we would advise that you should only be considering sending your child to school if there is no safe alternative. This is the first principle of the government guidance.
Provision in school is the last resort. If your child qualifies for attendance at school under the arrangements for key workers and vulnerable children, they should attend their usual school unless it is closed. If it is closed, you should apply to an alternative local school for a place and they will decide which parents to offer provision. Schools are not obliged to offer places beyond the capacity they can offer in these difficult times.
Individual schools will determine relative priorities. There is an additional request that local authorities seek to broker places for key workers if they cannot locate one themselves. If you require assistance with this please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We anticipate that this will remain an everchanging picture with the availability of staff to keep schools open.
Any school we are aware of that is currently unable to open for children of keyworkers and vulnerable children is listed below. This information is updated as we receive information direct from schools.
