Accessibility
We’re working hard to welcome everyone to the museum but because our building is old, there are some things you may find useful to know. Take a look at our accessibility information and our floor plan (.pdf format 791 KB) to help you plan your visit.
Uncover hidden treasures in our exhibitions, discover new talents in our interactive workshops and be inspired by local craftsmen and women. There’s so much to explore with us. We always have something fun for little ones too.
Our cafe and garden
Refuel with sandwiches and light lunches. We offer a mouthwatering selection of locally produced treats. Relax in our wonderful garden and don’t forget to try and spot our resident dinosaur.
In the summer, have a picnic or play it cool in our café, decking areas or shaded garden spots.
The coach house
The coach house is a dedicated events and activities space available for private hire. Capable of seating 60 people lecture style, and with a recently upgraded audio visual system, this room has everything you need for an event, activity or talk. Contact us for booking enquiries.
Exhibition galleries
Our temporary exhibition galleries are available to hire. The galleries are an ideal space to display your works of creativity. Contact us for more information and booking enquiries.
