  • By car: via A44 Oxford to Evesham. Free public car park located in Hensington Road and limited free street parking.
  • By bus: S3 from Oxford city centre. 242 from Witney.

Museum garden cafe

Meet friends and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Garden Cafe.

Relax with hot or cold drinks, light lunches, snacks and delicious moth watering cakes and bakes.

Reception and museum gift shop

Our museum shop sells a great selection of dinosaur toys, educational games, books, gifts, greetings cards, handmade jewellery and exhibition-related items.

Museum garden

The museum’s attractively landscaped gardens are the ideal location for morning coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea on the terrace or for just relaxing with children and friends.

There is always something to delight from our carpet of early spring bulbs round the ancient chestnut tree in February to our annual summer exhibition of sculpture by local artists. The garden is a fabulous setting for wedding photographs please contact us for more information.

Dinosaur garden and interactive dinosaur gallery

In the garden meet our life-size megalosaur - as big as a bus! You can also:

  • explore our new garden with its Jurassic plants
  • see the 168 million-year-old dinosaur footprints excavated from Ardley Quarry in Oxfordshire
  • follow dinosaur activity trails

In the Interactive Gallery you can:

  • feed the dinosaurs
  • dress-up
  • enjoy the puppet theatre
  • discover fossils, facts and quizzes
  • learn about The Shire of the dinosaur.

Coach House Education Centre

The education centre can cater for meetings, conferences, functions, school workshops, children's and family holiday events and adult learning classes. It seats up to 60 (lecture-style) and can also be hired for meetings and other functions.
