Opportunities lists and vacancy bulletins
We list jobs, apprenticeships and other opportunities suitable for younger job-seekers in our online opportunities search. If you work with young people, and would like to receive our weekly Opportunities Bulletins, please contact us.
Opportunities include jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships, study programmes, training, courses and foundation learning, as well as voluntary and personal and personal development opportunities. Search by keyword, location, reference number or employment type. Opportunities are updated daily.
Types of opportunities
The jobs in this Opportunity Search are particularly suitable for young applicants, or for young people looking for their first job. Some are suitable for applicants who are 16+, or for those who have few qualifications. Most offer training, often towards nationally recognised qualifications.
Apprentices earn a wage and work with experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. They also work towards nationally recognised qualifications, either at a local college or in the work place. Anyone living in England, over 16 and not in full-time education can apply.
Traineeships and engagement programmes
There are lots of great options for those young people who are not ready for employment, an apprenticeship or full-time study. Search under foundation learning and training providers for traineeships, study programmes, foundation learning and other opportunities, including those suitable for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Volunteering and personal development
Voluntary and personal development opportunities are not just good for the organisation you are volunteering for. They also help you improve your CV, gain valuable experience, and make new friends and contacts.
Advertising an opportunity
The jobs, apprenticeships and other opportunities we list are provided by local and national employers, training providers, colleges, businesses and others. We are always happy to list suitable opportunities for local young people. If you would like an opportunity promoted, please contact us.
