County council staff and external professionals
Our support to teams includes:
Staff training: We offer varied training programme to the staff teams that we support. This includes training in specific approaches as well as broader topics such as resilience, working with parents, child mental health, child development, and the transition from child to adult mental health services.
Reflective practice: We offer reflective practice which gives workers a chance to step back and reflect.
Psychology consultations: We offer the teams we support psychological consultations in which staff are able to discuss a family in detail, with the aim of informing the assessment process, deepening the understanding of the family’s needs and challenges, and considering ways of promoting family engagement and/or informing any future interventions.
Direct work with children and families: Following consultations, the Clinical Team offers direct work to children and families when their psychological and therapeutic needs are not being met by other services. This work is tailored to the needs of the child and family and can involve assessment, formulation, and interventions.
