Notice for 14 May 2026 for South Stoke and Icknield road

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Date of Order: 30 April 2026

Order In force: 14 May 2026

This order is being introduced in the interest of public safety for the Victura Filming Production to be undertaken on 14 May 2026 in the South Stoke area and is organised by Harry Fraser: email hfraser@netflixpartner.com.

 The effect of the order is to temporarily close that part of Icknield Road between the junctions of Grove Road and the A4074 Red Lane on 14 May 2026 between the hours of 5am to 10pm.

Manual stop-go traffic management will also be used in parts of South Stoke Road and Woodcote Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for controlled property access, and for vehicles and equipment necessary for undertaking the event. The alternative route(s) for through traffic are as follows:

Diversion route

The diversion route is via Grove Road, the B4009 Wallingford Road, the A4074 Port Way, the A4074 Red Lane and vice versa. 

HGV diversion route 

Via Springhill Road (if already on Icknield Road heading north), the B4009 Wallingford Road, the B4526 Reading Road, Deadman’s Lane, the A4074, the A4074 Red Lane and vice versa. 

HGV’s must not travel beyond Springhill Road (if already travelling north on Icknield Road) as they will not be able to use Grove Road to get around the road closure, there will also be difficulties for vehicles turning around at this point.
