About the competition.

The Friends of the Oxfordshire Museum are excited to announce the second annual Children’s Creative Writing competition. The competition focuses on an object on display at the Oxfordshire Museum. We are looking for exciting fictional stories!

We know we have some very talented and hard-working young people living in Oxfordshire. This competition is an opportunity for you to share your creative writing skills. The competition is open to all young people between the ages of 7 and 11 who live in Oxfordshire.

The best pieces will be selected to be judged by our expert judging panel. The judging will deliberate the best pieces in two age categories and one piece will be selected as overall winner. The person who has created this piece will be awarded a prize of £50 and have their name engraved upon a trophy.

The prizes will be awarded at a ceremony at 4pm on 10 July in the Museum Garden or Coach House depending on the weather.

How to enter.

Request a form from oxfordshire.museum@oxfordshire.gov.uk or pick up one from the reception desk of the Museum. When completed, return the form to the museum or via email to the above email address by 9am, Friday 12 June. All entries will be considered.
