Family day at Bishop's Palace

Join us at the fascinating Bishop’s Palace (next to Mount House in Witney) for some fun, family friendly activities and to see real objects found during the excavation of the palace. Staff and volunteers will be onsite all day with activities including:

• The Visitor Centre will be open for everyone to find out more about Bishop’s palace
• Find out more about real objects found during the excavation and have a go at some object handling.
• Explore what a pilgrim badge and ampulla are
• Create your own treasure chest to take away, maybe you can even pop your badge inside for safe keeping
• Have a go at our token trail
• Create a badge of your very own to take home using embossing foil
• Create your own illustrated initial
