How we use government funding to support residents

The council receives funding from the government’s Crisis and Resilience Fund to support residents with the Cost of Living. This is being used in the following ways:

Crisis Support Scheme

This provides emergency funding for households experiencing financial crisis; details of the scheme including details of who is able to apply, and how to apply, are on this page - Oxfordshire Crisis Support Scheme

Funding for City and District councils

Each council provides its own cost-of-living support. Information on this provision can be found on their websites

Holiday Activities and Food Programme

Increasing the provision of holiday clubs during the school holidays. Further information and the booking form - The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

Community larder support: 

Funding to increase the range of products and services in the SOFEA community larder network. Find your local larder -  Community Larder Locations - SOFEA

Advice provision

Support for advice services in Oxfordshire to provide advice on cost-of-living-related issues. Further information is available on our Help with rising living costs page.

Housing payments

If you receive housing benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit, but still have to pay some of your rent, you may be able to receive an additional housing payment. These are managed by the city and district councils.
