Congestion charge permit holders

If you already held a congestion charge permit, it has been automatically transferred to a traffic filter permit. You do not need to apply for a new traffic filter permit.

Day pass allocations have been automatically reset to 100 for Oxford residents and 25 for Oxfordshire residents.

If your temporary congestion charge resident’s permit had any unused day passes when the traffic filter trial started, they have not been carried over to the new scheme.

Central permit area permit holders

The central permit area we created for the temporary congestion charge does not exist in the traffic filters scheme. 

We will transfer central permit area resident permits to Oxford permit area resident permits. This gives 100-day passes per permit.

We have not transferred the other expiring central permit area permits. These are:

• central permit area resident (visitor permit)
• central permit area workplace parking users
• central permit area sports clubs, nurseries, or military training
