Adult social care policies

Key policies outlining how we deliver adult social care services in Oxfordshire.

We have four key policies that explain how we deliver adult social care services in Oxfordshire.

  • If you have care and support needs, The Assessment and Review Policy (pdf format, 185KB) outlines what the council will do to ensure your needs are assessed and how your support plan (if you have one) will be reviewed.
  • The Support Planning Policy (pdf format, 178KB ) outlines how we can ensure people and carers access the right care and support to promote their wellbeing and live their lives as independently, safely and successfully as possible.
  • The Contributions Policy (pdf format, 285KB)  outlines how the council ensures a fair approach to contributions from individuals towards the social care they receive. This policy covers residential and non-residential care services following an assessment and direct access services such as day care.
  • The Safeguarding Adults Policy (pdf format, 245KB) outlines the council’s approach to safeguarding adults, including the set of principles that guide us, and provides a framework for support professionals and others to take appropriate and timely safeguarding action to keep people safe.
