On-street parking

Details of where to park in Oxford, Abingdon and Henley at pay and display bays.

Paying to park

We deal with parking permits for Oxford's controlled parking zones, where on-street parking is only permitted in designated parking bays.

Parking charges and time restrictions for on-street parking vary across the county. Take care to check signs or pay and display terminals for information when you park.

We are responsible for on-street parking in central Oxford, and in Abingdon and Henley.

Free parking ends for key workers on 19 July

With restrictions on mobility being eased and demand for parking increasing, we plan to withdraw free parking concessions for NHS staff and key workers.

From 19 July 2021, health, care and volunteer workers' parking passes (also known as universal government parking passes) and copies of NHS passes left in vehicles, will no longer be recognised to park for free in these locations. After this date, vehicles not parking in accordance with the restrictions run the risk of being issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

On-street pay and display parking bays have been free for NHS staff and care workers on official duty during the pandemic.
