We are recruiting volunteers
We are currently recruiting volunteers to help us on front of house/galleries and in the museum garden cafe.
If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please complete an application form (doc format, 176Kb) and upload it to our contact us form.
Training and supervision
The Oxfordshire Museum offers a supportive, friendly environment in which to volunteer. You will be provided with training and supervision. We aim to give volunteers as broad an experience as possible, so there will be the opportunity to spend time in other areas of the service if desired.
For all questions and enquiries please contact us.
Volunteering at the Museums Resource Centre
Work on projects in focused and sociable small groups.
Resource centre projects include pottery audits, human bones project, metal store project, updating the collections management system.
The projects may include reorganisation of objects and cataloguing the collections.
New volunteers generally commit to a half-day at first, which can be increased to a whole day per week for the duration of a project.
However, we are currently not recruiting volunteers to help in the resource centre
