Friars Court
One of our approved venues for marriages and other civil ceremonies.
Friars Court is a privately owned, historic 17th-century house situated on four acres of part-moated informal gardens and grounds. It is located four miles from Faringdon and ten miles from Witney.
Friars Court is unique as a ceremony-only venue allowing couples the opportunity to solemnize their vows and marry in the privacy of the tranquil gardens after which they can proceed to the reception venue of their choice to continue their celebrations.
In addition to the spacious Garden Room, Friars Court offers a range of outdoor ceremony locations such as the Rose Arbour, beneath a cherry tree, or the forecourt of the house. The venue is known for its friendly, relaxed, and flexible atmosphere, accommodating a wide variety of ceremonies, from intimate gatherings of four to larger events with up to eighty people.
Preview visits are available by appointment only.
