Friars Court

One of our approved venues for marriages and other civil ceremonies.

Friars Court image

Friars Court is an historic, privately owned, predominantly 17th Century house set in four acres of partly moated informal gardens and grounds approximately 3½ miles from Faringdon and 10 miles from Witney on the edge of the Cotswolds.

We currently have seven different licensed areas for civil ceremonies ranging from the intimacy of the dark red Victorian dining room to the rustic early 19th century Listed Cotswold stone barn. With the addition of four potential marquee sites for larger receptions we offer a friendly, relaxed and flexible venue to suit a wide variety of ceremonies from a gathering of six guests to one hundred and above.

Silver Pear Weddings at Friars Court does not offer 'set' wedding packages - instead clients may either introduce their own contacts or deal directly with our highly recommended suppliers, all under the expert guidance of an onsite wedding consultant, to create a special, tailor-made and unique day to remember.

Please note: preview visits are by prior appointment only.
