Design our Christmas card

Create your design

The theme for the 2026 competition is candle safety.

Your design could show people:

• keeping candles away from Christmas trees and decorations
• never leaving burning candles unattended
• putting candles in sturdy holders
• keeping candles away from children and pets

You can draw, paint, colour or craft your design. You could include festive scenes, firefighters or Christmas characters.

Win the competition

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service will choose the winning design.

We will use the winning artwork for our official 2026 Christmas card. The card will help us share candle safety advice with our stakeholders and colleagues during the Christmas season.

We may adapt the winning design for printing and publication. The card will not be available for the public to order.

Include the following details with your artwork:

• the child’s name
• the child’s age
• a parent or guardian’s contact email address or telephone number

We must receive your entry by midnight on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Competition rules

• children must be aged 4 to 12
• children must live in Oxfordshire
• each child can submit one entry
• Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service will choose the winner
• we may adapt the winning artwork for printing and publication
• we will use the winning design on a Christmas card for our stakeholders and colleagues
• the Christmas card will not be available for the public to order
• we must receive entries by midnight on Saturday 31 October 2026
