How to access support

Children We Care For (CWCF) and Care Leavers Oxfordshire Children We Care For (0-18) and Care Leavers (upto 25 if in EET), wherever they reside. This includes CWCF living in kinship placements.

Statutory casework responsibility

Direct education champion role

  • Named Virtual School caseworker
  • Personal Education Plans (PEPs) for every child
  • Support with admissions/education access, schoolmoves and education / placement stability
  • Attendance monitoring and early action
  • Guidance to schools/settings to understand unique vulnerabilities and needs
  • Escalation support to reduce suspension and prevent exclusion
  • Pupil Premium Plus (PPP) advice and oversight

 

Automatically initiated via care statusand established multi-agency processes – allocated a Virtual School Worker.
