Learning English for work

ESOL classes are available across Oxfordshire. Online International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation is also offered.
English courses for adults.

Recognising overseas qualifications

Oxfordshire County Council may fund applications to the UK ENIC (European Network of Information Centres) for qualification assessment (for those with sufficient English language proficiency).
After recognition, you can meet with a careers adviser for guidance.

Preparing for employment

Support for starting a business is available via the Business and Intellectual Property Centre.
Help is offered with volunteering, work-based ESOL, CV writing, job applications, and interview skills.
Support is available for Hong Kong migrants (BNOs).
Help is provided with apprenticeship and university applications.

Support for young migrants (16–25)

ESOL with career guidance, functional skills in English and maths, work experience, and help with school certificate recognition are available. Contact: post16migrants@oxfordshire.gov.uk
