I want to know how to pay the congestion charge

You cannot pay the charge until the scheme starts.

When the scheme starts

You must pay the charge if you pass a congestion charge location without a permit. You can pay online, and you don't need an account.

You must pay the charge by midnight on the day after you drive through one of the six charge locations.

If you can't pay online, you can pay by phone.

You can also pay for multiple days in advance. We'll deduct a day from your account when you drive through a congestion charging location.
