Over the summer of 2025, we asked partner organisations across Oxfordshire for our proposal for a single unitary council for Oxfordshire.
The government’s statutory consultation on all proposals for local government in Oxfordshire ran from February to March.2026 and has now closed.
What we heard helped shape our One Oxfordshire proposal, which was submitted to government on 27 November 2025. You can read a summary of the main themes in chapter four of our proposal. You can also read more detailed information about the engagement activity and feedback in appendix four.
We expect the government to publish a consultation summary. We will keep this page updated when we know more.
