Waiting lists for secondary schools

If your child has been refused a place at a preferred school, you can add their name to the school's waiting list. Learn more about waiting lists.

The deadline for receipt of waiting list forms is 15 March 2027.

Lists for most schools will be maintained until 21 July 2027. If a place becomes available for your child, we'll write to you.

How to add your child to a waiting list

Applied online

You can go to your application on the public portal and select ‘join waiting list’.

How to remove your child from a waiting list

To remove your child’s name from a waiting list, you can update your response on the pubic portal or contact us with the details.

Applied by paper form

You can email schoolofferresponse@oxfordshire.gov.uk and ask for your child’s name to be added to the waiting list. Please remember to provide your child’s name, date of birth, and the names of the relevant schools.
