Paying the congestion charge

You must pay the charge if you pass a congestion charge location without a permit. You can pay online without needing an account. 

You must pay the charge by midnight on the day after you drive through one of the six charge locations. 

If you can't pay online, you can pay by phone on 01865 519800.​

You can also pay for multiple days in advance. We'll deduct a day from your account when you drive through a congestion charging location.

I want to check if I have entered one of the congestion charge locations

The cameras are not designed or permitted to be used as a journey‑checking tool for drivers. As a result, we cannot check if your vehicle has entered one of the charge locations.
