Set in attractive gardens, the new museum celebrates Oxfordshire in all its diversity and features collections of local history, art, archaeology, landscape and wildlife as well as a gallery exploring the county’s innovative industries from nuclear power to nanotechnology. Interactive exhibits offer new learning experiences for all ages.

The Galleries

Admission is now free to all the permanent displays and temporary exhibitions at the Oxfordshire Museum

Normal opening hours: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 2-5pm. Closed Mondays. Last admission 4.45pm.

Christmas/New Year 2008/09: The Museum will be CLOSED on December 25, December 26 and January 1.

In addition to permanent displays we have a purpose-built gallery to display a series of temporary exhibitions.

Displays and interactive exhibits for young visitors.

Friends of The Oxfordshire Museum

Registered charity supports the work of the museum.
