Statement of reasons

Filming for a television production is planned to take place in roads within Oxford City from 20 – 24 September 2026.

The Order is introduced for traffic measures and road safety to avoid risk of conflict between the film crew, the public and vehicles.

The authenticity of the historic city infrastructure and environment are also essential to the project. Road users will be marshalled accordingly and as the closures are intermittent throughout the period of filming any inconvenience will be kept to a minimum.

The County Council is satisfied that, because of the number of crew, specialist equipment and organising of the production that road closures are necessary to facilitate these requirements safely.
