Assessed and Supported Year in Employment
If you’re a newly qualified social worker, our Early Professional Development team will be on hand to provide extra support during your first year.
The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (AYSE) is delivered by our dedicated academy. It's a unique opportunity to gain professional confidence, skills and knowledge under the leadership of our principal social worker.
Preceptorship program
We know how important it is to provide support for newly qualified occupational therapists as they transition into their first role as practitioners. Our preceptorship program offers regular supervision, case discussion and the development of competencies, and is overseen by our principal occupational therapist.
Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are a great way to learn new skills, get on-the-job training and gain a recognised qualification. We offer social work and occupational therapy apprenticeship opportunities through a range of different providers, settings and levels.
With a blend of study and the opportunity to shadow experienced team members, you’ll develop a range of practical, transferable skills that will increase your employability. All with the added bonus of earning whilst you're learning - what could be better!
Grade and pay progression
After gaining three years' post-qualifying experience (including three years in a statutory social work/occupational therapist role), you’ll be able to apply for enhanced pay progression.
