Consumer complaints

If you are a consumer, you can make a complaint to Citizens Advice about a trader on the website. For general consumer enquires, visit the Citizens Advice website.

• If you need immediate help or feel threatened, call the police on 999.
• If you believe money has been stolen from your account or you have been defrauded, contact your bank immediately.
• Contact Action Fraud, the UK’s reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime
• Contact Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 223 1133.  Find more information on the Citizens Advice website    
• Contact Thames Valley Police

Animal welfare

For issues relating to the welfare or disease of farmed animals during office hours, complete the form below. For out-of-hours or emergency issues, contact the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA):

• to report the suspicion of notifiable diseases in animals
• to report the suspicion of animal welfare issues
• for advice and guidance on animal health and welfare services.

Call the Defra Rural Services helpline on 03000 200 301 and choose the appropriate options for APHA.

If you suspect that any other animal is being subjected to any form of cruelty, contact the RSPCA.

Trading Standards will only respond to the following types of emails.

Requests from businesses (including farmers), including:

• enquiries about licensing or registrations overseen by Trading Standards
• advice about Trading Standards legislation related to their own business, such as advice on your products and labelling (excluding business-to-business disputes). Signposting advice is free, while detailed advice is chargeable and will be provided only if there is capacity available.
