Minerals and waste policy
Current planning policy for minerals and waste is contained in the policies of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan (1996). This will be replaced by a new Minerals and Waste Plan comprising a Minerals and Waste Core Strategy and separate documents to identify specific minerals and waste sites.
We are currently preparing the Minerals and Waste Core Strategy. Consultation on draft planning stregeties for minerals and waste was undertaken in September/October 2011. We are now analysing the comments we have received before preparing the next stage of the plan.
