Volunteering in Oxfordshire

Volunteers can give unpaid help to a community, a charity, local clubs or voluntary organisations.

This can mean anything from coaching a sports team or helping a neighbour to more formal roles such as being a school governor, a county councillor, or a board member of a charity.

You'll have the chance to work with young people, families, disabled people, older people and animals. You could work on environmental projects, in a charity's offices or in a charity shop. Organisations also advertise with the centre for volunteers with management, IT, marketing and other professional skills.

For more information and to search their list of volunteering opportunities, visit the Volunteer Centre page on the Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action website. To make an appointment to talk to the Volunteer Centre staff, call 01865 251946 or email vol@ocva.org.uk.

The volunteer centre is part of Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action, the main umbrella charity for Oxfordshire's voluntary and community groups.
