Testing when you have symptoms

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should get a test immediately.

Warning If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should request a test as soon as possible. The test is free, and you should get it done within the first five days of having symptoms.

You can also request a test if you have been in contact with someone who has had a positive COVID-19 test result, if you need to confirm a positive result from a Lateral Flow Device or if you have otherwise been advised to get tested.
