River Windrush circular walks

Information about two circular walks along a section of the river between Witney and Burford.

Route 2 visits the ruin of Minster Lovell Hall, the scene of many secrets and legends, with its grand entrance pointing to a distinguished past. 

The routes are based on easy meadow walking, country lanes and wooded paths.

Distance Route 1 - 5 miles;  Route 2 - 3.5 miles
Length on road/village lane (not on Public Rights of Way) Route 1 - 47%;  Route 2 - 19%
Dogs Allowed under close control, on leads where livestock present
Information Burford Visitor Information Centre or Library

Public Houses Asthall, Swinbrook, Minster Lovell and Crawley
Public amenities Car parking in Burford and Witney.
