Witney Lakes, Witney

A lakeside path with extensive water views and abundant bird life.

This site is managed by Witney Town Council - for more information contact them on 01993 704379.

Witney Meadows, Witney

A path through quiet meadows beside the River Windrush. The meadows are bounded by the mill lade to the west and River Windrush to the east. The flower-rich meadows are at their best in May and June and are cut for hay later on in the summer to decrease fertility and encourage a species-rich flora.

Cotswolds easy countryside walks

The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's voluntary wardens developed a collection of 15 walk descriptions and maps to mark their 40th anniversary. They called the collection Walks on Wheels. The walks help people with different mobility needs to explore the quiet country paths, villages and market towns in the Cotswolds.
