Free rural services for children under five and their parents and carers.

The Children's Centre Mobile service offers young children and their families in rural areas the opportunity to access:

  • fun storytime and rhyme time sessions
  • book borrowing - picture and board books, popular adult reading and parenting books
  • information for parents, carers and childminders on a wide range of subjects, including family health, job searching and childcare
  • links with local Children’s Centres
  • specialist information and advice from health professionals, our Family Information Service and others
  • iPads to search the web for free or access our library page

Library service and public access computers

We have iPads for visitor use during the session.The Children’s Centre Mobile offers a full library service, where books can be borrowed. We have a large range for under fives and a collection of parenting books too. You can join the library and also reserve books from another library to be collected when we visit.
